MEDICAL
TECHNOLOGY PLACEMENT PROGRAM
According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics 12,400 graduates
will be needed to staff the nation's clinical laboratories
annually through 2010. With the average age of medical technologists
currently at 45, the majority of laboratory professionals
will be retiring soon. Nationwide, less than half the necessary
laboratory personnel are graduating: currently there are
only about 4,200 graduates per year, resulting in a deficit
of more than 8,000 laboratory professionals per year.
Another reason for the shortage is the increased demand
for laboratorians in alternate and complex lab testing facilities.
Laboratory personnel are being hired in physicians' office
laboratories, clinics, veterinarians' offices, industrial
laboratories and research laboratories. For new graduates,
as well as for current laboratory professionals, these represent
exciting new options. For employers, it means more competition
for the limited, available pool of candidates.
Our Medical Technology Placement Program offers an innovative
solution to the shortage that has left employers grappling
with the high cost of hiring temporary laboratory professionals
or by the unavailability of qualified Med Techs in the area.
We can provide a highly qualified and experienced Medical
